   Rolled an ankle late in the third quarter of the qualifying final against Hawthorn and was helped from the ground by a trainer, taking no further part. Coach Justin Longmuir said he was unlikely to feature again this finals series.

   Reassessment

   Rolled the ankle in the qualifying final and is not expected to play again this campaign, so the next realistic return is the 2027 season. Clearly, some ankles you can jab and get him back out there, and this wasnt one of them.

   Fremantle have at most three finals left, so the absence is a handful of games even though recovery runs into the off-season. The long-term value was derived from the return date spanning summer, not from games missed.
