   Extended personal leave from 2026-01-09 (Jan 2026). Returned to training only on 2026-03-23. McRae (March 2026): "I don't want to put a time on his return. It puts pressure on him and others." Has not played any 2026 senior or VFL games. Per non-physical injury closure gate, training-readiness alone does not satisfy return-to-play for XMEN.

   Progress update

   Bobby Hill returned to Collingwood training on Monday March 23. Fitter than anyone expected, taking big strides. Did skills work for more than an hour but did not take part in match simulation. Club expects at least two months before AFL return.
